Answer to your question

How do I become born-again?

No matter how much good we’ve ever done in this world, we are still a sinner that can only be cleansed by the blood of Jesus. When we make Jesus Lord and Savior of our lives, He washes us clean of all our sins, our failures, our shortcomings, and our mistakes and makes us a brand new person inside! This is what the Bible calls “being born-again.” You are no longer the same—you are a new creature in Christ! The old person you were no longer exists as Jesus places His new nature inside you. You become different from the inside out! God is no longer a stranger to you, but now He becomes your Heavenly Father. You no longer have to be afraid of death, because Heaven is where you will spend eternity with Jesus and the rest of the family of God. Isn’t that wonderful news?

If you’ve never accepted Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior, it’s so easy! You can become a Christian and enjoy a new relationship with Jesus today! Just pray this simple prayer from your heart:

Dear God,

I confess that I’m a sinner and that my sin eternally separated me from You. I believe that You loved me so much that You sent Jesus to die on the Cross for all my sins. I believe that Jesus rose from the dead and is now seated at Your right hand. I ask You to forgive me from all my sin and wash me clean by the blood of the Cross. I make Jesus Christ the Lord and Savior of my life! From this day forward, I want to live for You, God. Thank You for making me a brand new person inside and helping me to grow in You. I am no longer separated from You, but I have now become Your child, and You are my Heavenly Father! I am now a new creation in Christ Jesus, and the old me is gone forever! Thank You for saving me from an eternal hell and giving me eternal life in Christ.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Welcome to the family of God!

Answer to your question

Where can I find a Bible?

As you grow in your life as a Christian, one of the most important things you’ll ever need is a Bible! The Bible is unlike any other book you’ll ever read, because it is the living, breathing Word of God! It’s the absolute Truth, and it is teaches us who God is, how He loves us, and how we can know Him more.

You can find Bibles in most local bookstores, especially Christian or church bookstores in your area. You can also order one online!

Bibles come in a variety of translations. The classic English language translation of the Bible is called the King James Version, but it can be hard to read if you’re not familiar with 16th century English. I prefer some more modern translations, such as the New King James Version, the Amplified Bible, the New International Version, or the New Living Translation. My husband usually reads from the Holman Christian Standard Bible, and we both enjoy checking out the new paraphrase versions such as the Message, the Voice, or The Passion Translation. However, if you decide to go with a paraphrase, be sure to have a traditional translation with you as well. The paraphrases won’t give you the adequate study you’ll need to understand the Word of God in its depth and fulness.

If English is your secondary language and you prefer reading a Bible in your mother tongue, there are many foreign language Bibles available. Check out the American Bible Society to find Bibles in Spanish, French, Italian, Swedish, Hungarian, Chinese, Persian, Urdu, Turkish, Hindi, Russian, Swahili, Hawaiian, and several other languages.

Here are a few places I recommend to shop for a Bible online:

Finally, if you’re not able to purchase a Bible, please let me know. Our ministry at New Life Metro Ministries International would love to send you one free of charge. It’s our gift to you if you desire to know Jesus more!
